How a termination letter delivery works

Print our delivery protocol, which you will receive via email after placing the order.

Please note that using any other delivery protocol is not possible, as ours is optimised for legally secure termination deliveries.

Pick-up

The collection of the termination notice takes place at the specified address. Please hand the driver the printed delivery protocol along with the termination document.

Delivery

The termination notice is delivered legally securely by posting it into a clearly identifiable letterbox.

The delivery is documented through:

Photos of the posting
The completed delivery protocol

After Delivery

Along with the invoice, you will receive:

The completed delivery protocol
Photos of the delivery (showing the letterbox)

Is termination delivery via letterbox legally secure?

Yes, delivering a termination notice to the letterbox is legally secure. Our driver ensures that the notice is placed securely in the recipient's control area and acts as a witness.
The delivery is legally documented with the delivery protocol and photos.

Can the termination be delivered in person?

A personal handover is only attempted if delivery via the letterbox is not possible.
However, personal handovers carry a risk:

The notice could be mistakenly delivered to a third party
This could cause legal issues, especially around proof of receipt and deadlines

How is the termination delivery documented?

Documentation is completed through:

A fully optimised delivery protocol, filled and signed by the driver on-site
A photo of the protocol with the letterbox

In the case of a personal handover, no photo is taken. Only the signatures of both the recipient and the driver on the protocol are required.

What happens if the termination notice cannot be delivered?

Provide instructions in advance to ensure clarity.

Your shipments are insured by the Schunck Group, the market leader for insurance solutions in the transport and logistics industry. Schunck has nearly 100 years of industry experience. Here you will find our current insurance confirmation.

The shipment is insured up to 8,33 SDR/kg gross weight each. This corresponds to about 10,- EUR/kg gross weight. Per case of damage, our direct transports are covered up to 2.500.000 EUR. We can also offer you a higher insurance cover. The costs for this depend on the type of goods. For most of the higher value goods the costs are only 0,20825% of the value of the goods (plus VAT), a value of 30.000 EUR can be insured for 62,48 EUR net.
