Chemical producers and valve manufacturers use this route frequently, benefiting from flat terrain and minimal border delays since both countries belong to the Schengen area. Partial loads of industrial compounds or fabricated steel parts reach Győr within half a working day.
Freight also moves southward into Croatia, particularly toward Zagreb and the Adriatic coast. Seasonal demand from construction and tourism-related supply chains adds volume between April and October, with building supplies and interior-fit-out materials making up a notable share of southbound freight during the peak months.
